Kelly Harris & Eliot Turner

Kelly Harris and Eliot Fielding Turner exchanged wedding vows June 5 in the Jonsson Color Garden at the Dallas Arboretum. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Amy Heller. A reception followed, also at the Dallas Arboretum.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Ann Harris of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of James Reilly and the late Lucille V. Reilly of Austin and the late Robert and Martha Elizabeth Harris of Des Moines, Iowa.

The groom is the son of Drexel Turner and Mary Anne Piacentini of Houston. He is the grandson of the late Antonio and Anna Mary Piacentini of Portland, Maine, and the late Elbert and Eretha Turner of Houston.

The bride wore an elegant gown designed by Christos. The beautifully fitted A-line gown of ivory French Alençon lace and silk organza was fashioned with a strapless, sweetheart neckline. Her train swept gracefully to chapel length. To complete her ensemble, she wore a single layer of silk illusion trimmed in matching lace that framed her face and flowed beyond her train.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Sara Eaton. Bridesmaids included Whitney Adshead, Teresa Caputo, Mary Dear, Daniela Gaither, Amanda Salas, and Merrill Turner.

Attending the groom as best man was Cass Turner. Groomsmen included Ian Birch, Stephen Davis, Samuel Grenader, Robert Harris, Christopher Phillips, and Travis Wussow.

Scripture and poetry readers were Christine Ambrose and Aretea Wyler. Anthony Kaim acted as usher, and the ring bearer was James Eaton.

The bride graduated cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas, where she was an honors graduate of UT Law School. She is an attorney with Jones Day.

The groom received his Bachelor of Arts from Rice University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas, where he was an editor of the Texas Law Review. The groom recently completed a clerkship with the Hon. Royce C. Lamberth in Washington, D.C., and will begin another clerkship in the fall with the Hon. Phyllis A. Kravitch in Atlanta.

The couple will honeymoon in Spain and reside in Dallas upon their return.
