Chief of Poop Police Has Had Enough

A University Park resident who has grown tired of lazy dog owners allowing their pets to make yard deposits went on poop patrol this week. She sent a series of photos showing a woman walking her dogs while talking on the phone. It must have been a good conversation because she paused long enough for her pooch to scope out a good spot in this lawn and then totally forgot to pick up the funk.

Word to the walkers, this poop policewoman is gettin’ serious about feces scattered around her community and she is armed with a camera phone.

That is totally awesome! I would love to interview the camera phone toting vigilante for my blog. I can see the post title now. “You’re full of sh*T and so is your Dog” Eh, it’s a work in progress.

@Aug13, Send them to me: merritt at peoplenewspapers dot com. I think the poop patrol chicks should eventually have a ticket pad of some sort, to be more official. Maybe t-shirts.

You need to get up in their faces for these pictures, the above pics tell us nothing. Be bold!

I get SO frustrated! Someone let their dog poop all over the sidewalk in front of my house and then people had walked through it so there were poopy footprints all down the block.

While walking my dogs I’ve noticed lately there’s a lot more poop than usual that’s been left behind by other dogs. I know the nice thing would be to pick it up with my bags, but I really don’t want to be carrying around strange poo for half an hour. Sometimes if my dog goes near a pile that’s been left behind, I’ll pick it up just so the homeowner doesn’t think I neglected my duty (or doody). 😉

    Label the pics: Feces Faces.

I think our kids are missing a rite of passage. We used to play football in the yard and had to avoid the piles. You actually wanted to be the 1st to hit one so no one would want to tackle you.

Just a suggestion: Since U.P. has all the cool new ‘parks’ (aka, ‘medians’ and ‘small patches of grass’), just direct your animals to poop there…
Make sure to clean up though, just in case a soccer game breaks out in the vast openness of ‘Pardoe Park’.

Merrit-I am ALL over the t-shirt designs. I am marketing genius. I am seeing something like a retro pink ringer tee with “Park Cities Poop Patrol in script on the front. On the back, “We ain’t putting up with yo’ crap!”

Or “Poop Patrol Parkie” “It’s our Duty”

There’s a lady on Westminster that put her dog’s am poop by our neighbor’s McCain sign and then in another neighbor’s trailer that was parked out front. The neighbors got her on camera at 5 am! We all know her house! We have not reacted, but have been tempted!

I am so glad somebody is finally addressing this. I live on a busy corner near a park, so quess what, people feel entitled to let their dogs poop on our l-shaped lawn. I’ve seen the fake “I’m on the phone” walkers that act like they don’t see their dog pooping. Or, the “I’m listening to my I-tunes and don’t see my dog pooping” walkers. And then there’s the “I’m waiting for the light to change and oops my dog is pooping”. Don’t get me wrong, we are dog/pet lovers. Our first married w/children dog was a golden. She remarkably only preferred to poop in our own backyard. Our current dog is a small Havenese that does not require walking so she chooses our big backyard also. My landscape plants love her fertilizer. Anyway, go for the “Scoop your poop” t-shirt. I’ts been a long time coming. I’m just saying. I’m just saying. We could be the “Snoopers for Poopers Brigade”. Just a thought. 😉

I would love to catch the slime ball who dumps his/her poop bags in my garbage cans.
