Highland Park High School’s Gossip Girl

If you thought it was only fiction, think again. Highland Park High School has a real-life mystery character on their hands. Someone ranking on the personality scale between the mean chick from Gossip Girls, Georgina Sparks, and  Mona Vanderwall, an anonymous texter known as “A” in the teen book series, Pretty Little Liars. She’s haunting the student body by spreading rumors and bullying classmates via Twitter.

Scots can’t identify her yet but they’re on the case. So far they believe she’s in 4th period lunch and many say it’s clear she doesn’t have much of a social life. She’s savvy enough to avoid detection with an ever changing Twitter name but takes credit by mentioning her original ID, HPHSgossip[only partial ID listed].

Her profile recruits leads with this.

OMG! That’s pretty diabolical, even for catty high school girls. Do keep us updated, Merritt; this is an interesting story.

    xoxo, Gossip Girl

My daughters have heard of this. They say there are copy cats, current rumor is 5 girls are doing it. That would explain the multiple accounts.

let’s gossip about the gossip tweeter:

    1. she’s in 4th period lunch
    2. no social life
    3. there are maybe 5 of them

wow, no wonder why she’s doing it, gossip is fun.

on a differnt note, looking at the tweets of some of her twitter followers it’s clear that either their parents don’t read their tweets or they just don’t care.

I hope they find her quickly and make an example of her. Bullying is not only mean, it’s dangerous. She could do extreme damage to so many kids for now and for years to come. HPHS staff should punish this sort of thing as severely as they are allowed.

the worst thing about this is the picture. you used the cast of pretty little liars (who actually watches that anyway?) instead of something to do with gossip girl when the post is about hp’s gossip girl? shame.

I found the account on twitter and nothing seemed that bad. there are like 8 posts all together and though they’re kind of scandalous (some of them anyway) none seem to be ‘bullying’…i go to hp and have no idea what they mean anyway. and I doubt someone with ‘no social life’ could know all these things so who knows if thats true…interesting as long as no one gets hurt, but I’m sure this kind of thing will be taken too far so I guess its better to not have a gg…hmmm. I like the idea of an anonymous all knowing twitterer though…its just like gossip girl! haha

    xoxo 😉

ROFL. I’m tweeting to share information about our boring azz school – nothing more, nothing less. Yeah, there is now more than me, but I am the original, and I do it best.

    Loves and kisses!
