Jesuit head football coach Bob Wunderlick has stepped down after 14 years leading the Rangers. Wunderlick will continue coaching and remain at the school as an English teacher, according to a press release issued by Jesuit.
“This is a decision I’ve been considering for some time,” Wunderlick said. “I spoke with my wife and decided this is a good time to step down. I love coaching and teaching, and I love Jesuit — a place I’ve called home all my life. This move will allow me more time to focus on those folks and those things I love the most.”
The school is accepting applications for the position until Feb. 7.
The Rangers finished 6-5 (5-2) this past season. Jesuit lost to Rowlett, 35-28, in the first round of the playoffs.
