4th Grade Mom Skit 2011

It seems funny when it’s not your year but when you have a 4th grader in HPISD, your spring is dedicated to mom skit prep. A few years ago I experienced my first skit and now it’s that time again. My group is working hard, it’s cute. And I was feeling pretty good until a rumor started to circulate.

I heard my group is gonna get crushed by a princess and her peeps. Word around is town is that they have a choreographer and practice in a dance studio. In leotards.

Game. On. Sistas.

Sigh… I heard that rumor too. I keep dreaming about 4th grade Mom’s skit and I’m feeling the heat to make it cute but I’m also older and more tired. LOL

A correographer won’t help them, but a choreographer might.

    Could you hire Ms. Crummel?

Same thing happened my year at Hyer, and that was the most tense, up-tight, boring dance (more like military drills) of the entire show.

Not ‘HPISD’ but ‘UP’. Not all moms are subjected to this torture.

Aw, it’s the rough edges that make the skit charming and fun. Using a professional choreographer sounds like they’re gonna invoke the audition scene in “Flashdance” or Finals Week on “Dancing With The Stars”.

Please make sure that the outfits are appropriate for young children this year! In years past, many of the skits were too much!
