Pedestrian Hit on Hillcrest Avenue

An 82-year-old Dallas woman was hit by a car while she attempted to cross a University Park street this morning, according to UP officials.

The woman was at the intersection of Hillcrest and Milton avenues at 9 a.m. this morning when she was “brushed” by a turning vehicle, said UP spokesman Steve Mace. The victim was taken to Parkland, where she was treated for a suspected fractured wrist. The injury was not believed to be life-threatening, Mace said.

The driver was a 26 year-old female; she has not yet been charged, but a failure to yield citation could be pending, Mace said.

Mace did not know if the pedestrian was attempting to cross Hillcrest or Milton.

Reminds me of a similar incident on Hillcrest a few months ago, where we have YET to hear about the driver, or any charges filed for leaving the scene of an accident, lying to police, etc.

She was lying in the middle of Hillcrest, on the north side of Milton. There was a DALLAS emergency response vehicle there when I drove by.

Today, another accident a car was pulling out of their parking spot and was rear ended and then hit the building. When are they going to slow the traffic down on hillcrest & Milton?????? Snider plaza and the surrounding residents are tired of all the cars speeding thru the intersections o make he lights. More police presence is the answer. People slow down when there is an officer around.
