How Far Would You Go to Find a Doggie Doo Culprit?

As a measure to determine the source of ever-present dog waste at an apartment complex, the management is forcing all dog owners to register their canine’s DNA for puppy poop identification purposes.

Here’s a question for front-lawn-patrolling Parkies: Would you support a city ordinance making dog owners register their animal’s DNA to determine who’s not scooping the poop?

I have a feeling Merritt would.

I was ready to set up a video camera to find the culprit(s) on my street.
I love dogs. I am a dog owner. And I would NEVER allow my dog to do her doo on any public or private property without picking it up. There is nothing worse than stepping in it, especially when it’s not from your own dog!

On a recent walk with my dogs I saw an elementary age boy walking a dog. They were way up near the front of a house, so I assumed they lived there. After the dog had made a “deposit” the boy took the dog to the house NEXT DOOR where I guess they actually live and went inside. Parents, if you’re going to send your kids to walk the dogs, please show them how to clean up after them, too.

No,I would not support such an idea. Good grief! Although, someone stole my “No poop” sign from my yard. But DNA to prove culpability????? We are getting crazy from the heat a little earlier than usual this year.

The arrogance of some neighbors that it’s okay to allow one’s animal to defecate on a neighbor’s property. I have even walked outside to hand a perpetrator a plastic bag only to have them look at me like I’m insane. Poop on my yard again and find out 🙂

Yep, I’d support it. First off, it’s a city ordinance, so you are a lawbreaker if you don’t pick up your dog’s poop. Second, you have NO CLASS whatsoever I don’t care how much money you have to live here in HP, if you DO NOT HAVE THE COMMON COURTESY to respect other people’s property. No one likes stepping in DOG SHIT. Some people actually garden for a hobby here and walk in their yards, not to mention their children play in them. How’d you like me to come over to your house and drop my drawers and leave a big one on your front porch every day? Come on people, have some class.
