My daughter said several of their friends were without power over on Wentwood.

I was without power until around 1230 this morning.
I highly suggest a battery operated fan. Makes all the diffference.

We had them big time on Belclaire in HP. Power was out 7 or 8 different times from 5:15 to 10:15, some for up to 50 minutes at a time.

Power was also out along Lovers from just east of the Preston at least as far west as the UP pool. It was out at ~7pm when I drove by. I was told it didn’t come on until after midnight and that the business on Lovers just east of the tollway were also without power.

Six hours in the dark last night on Lovers without power and air conditioning. The UP city hall/fire station was on generator power for several hours.

I went to a generator-powered party on Westminster (right near Snider Plaza) last night. The whole street’s electricity was supposed to be off until early this morning.

The outages last night were not rolling black-outs. I talked to Oncor folks and they said there were numerous equipment failures at Lomo Alto substation, just south of Lovers, caused by heat.

North side of Lovers and the whole Devonshire neighborhood going North, from Tollway to beyond Inwood was out for over 3 hours last night. We went to Cantina Laredo last night and all those businesses across the street were dark, heard this morning they weren’t back up until late night.

Question: Why can’t they give us 15 minutes warning that a black out is going to take place, so we can turn off computers and other essentials? They could just have a recorded voice call and alert us.
