Ann-Hayden Gustafson and Robert Matthew Innamorati were united in marriage Saturday, July 30 at half after seven o’clock in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church of Wichita Falls, Texas. The Rev. Isaac Butterworth officiated the ceremony. A reception hosted by the bride’s parents followed at the Wichita Falls Country Club. The wedding, reception and rehearsal dinner were designed by Todd Events.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Ashton Gustafson of Wichita Falls, Texas and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Frank Bishop, also of Wichita Falls.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anthony Innamorati of Dallas. He is the grandson of of Mrs. James Bizzell Bundy of Raleigh, N.C. and the late Iva Carlos Anderson Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C.; and the grandson of Mrs. Concetta Virginia Innamorati of Seattle, Washington and the late Mr. Anthony Walter Innamorati of Boston, Mass.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in the Phoenix Room of the Wichita Falls Country Club. The rehearsal dinner décor and menu reflected the groom’s Italian heritage. Guests toasted the bride and groom with a special Imperial bottle of 1995 Silver Oak. The colors were light and airy — reminiscent of the Italian Amalfi Coast. The tables were set with crisp, white linens, and rustic floral accents of ivory and white hydrangea bouquets graced the candlelit room. Bruce Canafax entertained the guests with his classical guitar.

“Southern Chic” was the bride’s theme for the reception. Guests were welcomed with a boxwood-covered table accented with large blue and white vases overflowing with ice-blue hydrangeas, garden roses, tall, white amaryllis, and fresh, green bunches of china berries and blush roses. Three large “art photography” portraits of the bride by KELLYKATE photography hanged on the sheer voile-draped entry accented with very pale blue lighting and candles. The furnishings and textiles for the reception were elegant with a touch of glamour, such as Alencon lace-covered tables topped with rose-petal sculptured vases that soared toward the ceiling graced the room. The whimsical vases held enormous bouquets of peak of season garden roses, lisianthus, hydrangea blossoms, dahlias and sweetly scented lilies.

Star-like candles floated above the dance floor. Three large chandeliers in the ballroom were cleverly disguised with clouds of delicate paper rose petals falling from the heavens. The wedding and groom’s cakes, center stage on the dance floor, were created by Benny Daniel of Masterpiece Cakes. A giant cascading peony graced the elegant bride’s cake, and a chocolate replica of the groom’s favorite ostrich skin boots — created by Wanda Cates of Sweet Expressions — topped one of the chocolate groom’s cakes.

Escorted to the altar by her father, Ann-Hayden chose a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown called “Scarlet” for her wedding. The delicate ivory re-embroidered lace sheath featured a dramatic open back and a beautiful Juliet neckline with a silk charmeuse layer underneath. The bride paired her gown with an exquisite gold tulle and Chantilly lace veil by Homa Bridal. Her bridal bouquet was a luscious pave of garden roses, lisianthus, ranunculus, and gardenias accented with tweedia — tiny star-shaped flowers of blue. The bouquet was wrapped in dressmaker satin ribbon studded with tiny pearls.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was Brynn Elizabeth Gustafson. Bridesmaids included Elizabeth Barnard, Lauren MacKenzie McFarland, Lauren Elise Prestridge, Suzanna Dillard Rubottom, Virginia Innamorati McLanahan, Polly Anne Hardwick, Rebecca Rogers Quisenberry, and Anne Hawthorne Williams.
