Copeland Impresses School Administrators

Blake Copeland shows off the iPhone app he created as an HPHS freshman.

My brother Mark is an assistant principal in Leander ISD (Austin’s answer to Frisco). He texted me from the Texas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development conference in Austin on Monday, because Highland Park High School junior Blake Copeland was assisting with a presentation. You may remember Copeland as the young man who has already created a couple of smart-phone apps. To hear my brother tell it, the room was impressed that a high school student was addressing a crowd that was otherwise engaged by authors and superintendents.
