Kendall Anne Snadon and Harley Ernest Cluxton IV weddingKendall Anne Snadon and Harley Ernest Cluxton IV exchanged wedding vows the evening of Saturday, October 8 on the Windsor Lawn at the Hotel Del Coronado on Coronado Island, Calif. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Larry Williams. A reception of dining and dancing followed in the Crown Ballroom of the Hotel Del Coronado. In lieu of a rehearsal dinner, the couple invited all attending guests to a barefoot beach party at the Coronado Ferry Landing overlooking the downtown San Diego skyline.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Daryl Neil Snadon and Mrs. Lee Bell Snadon of Highland Park. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Chester Bell of Highland Park and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Morris Snadon of Lockwood, Mo.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Marcia Mortensen Cluxton of Highland Park and Mr. Harley Ernest Cluxton III of Paradise Valley, Ariz. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Andreas Vernon Mortensen of Mobile, Ala. and the late Dr. and Mrs. Harley Ernest Cluxton Jr. of Lake Forest, Ill.

The bride chose an ivory silk chiffon gown, “Virgina,” from the Spring 2011 Bridal Collection of Carolina Herrera. It featured pleated inserts and box pleated silk taffeta chevron appliqué and an ivory Chantilly silk lace Mikado bolero with duchess satin piping. A custom made chin length veil of Russian netting, designed by Cassie MacGregor, from House of MacGregor in Oak Cliff, complemented the bride’s gown. Perle Moreau and Christie Farris from Jean Philippe Salon in Dallas completed her look with hair and makeup for the events over the course of the weekend. The bride carried a handkerchief from the groom’s mother’s side of the family, hand-embroidered with a floral pattern and accented with seed pearls. In remembrance of the bride’s grandmothers, a small framed portrait of each grandparent hung from the crystal handle of her bridal bouquet.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Bridal attendants included Heidi Franz Snadon, sister-in-law of the bride and Cole William Snadon, brother of the bride. Flower girls were Lilly Morgan Snadon, sister of the bride and Helena Elizabeth Cluxton, daughter of the groom.

Attending the groom were Dr. Fallon Parsons Cluxton-Keller, sister of the groom and Dr. William Roger Keller, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers included Donald E. Chick and David R. French, friends of the groom, as well as Coby B. Nichols, and Armando G. Pando, friends of the bride.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Highland Park High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in education in 2002 from the University of Georgia where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She was a Dallas Symphony Debutante in 2000, has been a member of the Cattle Baron’s Ball since 2005 and is currently a junior member at Dallas Country Club.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Phoenix Country Day School. He received a Bachelor of Arts in history in 2002 from Southern Methodist University, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He is currently enrolled at Southern Methodist University, working toward a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the Cox School of Business.

Next fall a honeymoon trip is being planned on a small cruise ship from Venice, Italy to Istanbul, Turkey. From there they will travel to Dubai for a few days before returning home to University Park.

    Congratulations Harley. It has been a long time. I came across this looking for something completely different and my heart was flooded with old memories from long ago. You look so different than I remember you from our teenage years. You look very happy and your bride is gorgeous!! I wish you both the best best!
