You Can Refuse a Breathalyzer This Weekend in The Park Cities

Earlier today, we got word that Dallas is a “No Refusal” city this weekend, what with St. Patrick’s Day and the general, unrelenting urge to drink and drive that holiday brings.

During this initiative officers will secure a search warrant for a blood sample from all persons arrested for DWI who refuse to voluntarily give a breath and/or blood sample.

No refusal runs from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Sunday. But, if you find yourself in the Park Cities and so incapacitated that you couldn’t possibly remember the phone number for a cab, you’re in luck! Highland Park and University Park will not be running No Refusal weekends, so you could be the jerk that fights their DWI in court because “you only had one margarita, but you’re on new medication.”

The real moral to the story is don’t be a moron and take everyone else’s lives into your selfish hands.

If there is death or serious injury, blood will be taken, no matter where you are.
