In high school, I did a documentary about graffiti. Beautiful graffiti. It examined the art behind a lot of taggers’ signs, and the positive and negative effects of the art. This story would not have been included in that documentary.
Seems that someone spent some time in the 3900 block of Lexington Avenue between March 23 and 25, and left two messages. The one seen here, “Success Isn’t $, It’s Doing What You ♥,” is a strange creed to be scrawled on someone’s else’s wall, while the second, “[Forget] The Noise,” is more to-the-point.
Both were not appreciated by the owner, who said he’d cover the unprovoked art installations ASAP.
