HP Scot Classic Opens Today
The 49th Annual Highland Park Scot Classic boys and girls basketball tournament got under way earlier today. The tourney runs through Saturday.
The Lady Scots (3-0) will take on Hockaday at 6 tonight, while the Scots (1-0) will face Midlothian at 7:30 p.m.
On Friday, the girls will play either Rockwall-Heath or TCA-Addison at either 3 or 6 p.m. The other four teams in the tournament are Garland, McKinney North, W.T. White, and Woodrow Wilson. The consolation final is at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, while the third-place game is at 3:30 p.m., and the championship at 5 p.m.
The Scots will face Lake Highlands at 4:30 p.m. Friday, along with Austin High at 9 a.m. Saturday. The fifth-place game will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, followed by the third-place game at 2 p.m., and the championship game at 6 p.m.
