After finishing up the regular season with a 49-41 win over North Forney on Tuesday night, the Highland Park boys basketball team will open the Class 4A state playoffs against Frisco at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lovejoy.

The Scots (26-7, 11-3) finished tied for second place with West Mesquite in the District 10-4A standings. However, because the Wranglers swept Highland Park in the two district meetings between the teams, the Wranglers are the No. 2 seed from the district in the playoffs, while the Scots are the No. 3 seed.

Frisco (20-9, 10-4) finished second to Little Elm in District 9-4A. The Raccoons have won six straight games.
