Run, Don’t Walk, to SMU Lit Fest

The arts are important, and every spring, SMU helps us remember that by hosting their annual Literary Festival. Today, you have the opportunity to hear novelist Alix Ohlin and poet Alan Michael Parker at 3 p.m., and poet Vievee Francis at 6:30 p.m. Tomorrow, catch poet Gabrielle Calvocoressi and author Natalie Serber at 2 p.m. All readings take place in the DeGolyer Library. Also, book giveaways happen at each event, so don’t miss out.

As a former chair of this event in my younger, undergraduate days, I highly recommend you come out to hear these accomplished writers from all different backgrounds. Take it in. Get inspired. It’s just good for your soul. Need more info? Go here.
