Baseball Game Moved to Monday
The big District 10-4A baseball showdown between Highland Park and Forney has been postponed from tonight to 5 p.m. Monday in Forney because of weather.
The Jackrabbits (14-6, 6-1) are slated to throw Wichita State signee Cody Tyler, while the Scots (10-13, 5-2) will counter with Oklahoma State signee Matt Wilson. Both are lefties. The two also met in the district opener at Scotland Yard, which Forney won 4-2.
Before that game, however, the Scots will host North Forney (1-14, 0-6) at 7:30 Friday night. Highland Park will also take on Denton Guyer (9-14) in a non-district game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. And after facing Frisco on Monday, the Scots will turn right around and play Poteet on Tuesday night at home, giving them four games in five days.
The Forney game has been moved again to Saturday, April 13th, 1:30 p.m. at Forney with the JV Blue playing at 11:00 a.m. The Scots are currently in second place behind Forney and just ahead of Carrollton Creekview and Carrollton Newman Smith! Come out to watch them at Scotland Yard tomorrow night as they take on Poteet at 7:30 p.m.
