Where Should My Family Watch Parade?

I’ll be participating in my fifth Park Cities Fourth of July Parade on Thursday, but this will be the first one that my family will attend. Give me in the inside scoop of the choicest spots for viewing. Ideally, they’ll have some shade and not too long a walk to Goar Park for the post-parade festivities.

I don’t think there is a bad location. If amassing candy is your thing, near the end is not the best because some groups run out. We like the end because you can get to the park earlier before the lines get long, and you also don’t have a long hike back to your car. There’s plenty of shade there, too

We have sat in front of the YMCA for years. Good approx mid point of the parade….yet I think since the bike group is moving there we will sadly have to find a new location. Too hard to get a parking spot with all the chaos.
