A joyous Twin Farms reception of cocktails, dining, and dancing for 36 close family and friends followed, with a second reception of dining and dancing for 230 taking place June 15 at Arlington Hall in Dallas, where a video clip of the Vermont wedding’s highlights aired just prior to the couple’s entrance. Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a luxurious, ivory gown from Brides by Dimetrios in Frisco. Its sweetheart neckline and crystal-encrusted, embroidered bodice were enhanced by hand pleating flowing to the floor-length train. The bride paired this with a chapel-length veil, pinned to her hair with a jeweled clip. Rachel wore an heirloom pin on her dress, which had belonged to the groom’s mother. The bride also had a secret treasure hidden deep in the folds of her gown by the wedding planners just prior to the wedding. This was arranged by the groom’s father, in homage to a time-honored Mexican wedding tradition.

Her bouquet held roses, succulents, and peonies. The bride’s footwear was by Valentino, but she ended up walking down the aisle in her blue sparkly Toms instead. Bridesmaids wore gowns by Rosa Clara with their Christian Louboutin pumps, gifts from the bride. Men wore Vera Wang Black. For the Dallas reception, the bride ordered a Vera Wang White gown from David’s Bridal, which she paired with the same sparkly blue shoes from Toms for dancing the night away.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Amy Lee. Bridesmaids were Ann Elise Arrieta, the groom’s sister; Andrea Jaegerman; Anne Rekerdres; Anna Tauzin; and Kendall Zini-Jones. Julie Cross, a friend of the groom’s family, did a reading of “Love” by Roy Croft, and James Dolly, the bride’s brother, sang an original song he wrote for the occasion and played guitar during the ceremony. Assisting the groom as best man was his brother, Edward Arrieta. Groomsmen included Dawson Dorie, Michael Wood, Warren Loftis, Jonathan Rosen, and John Kerby.

The bride is a graduate of the San Marcos Baptist Academy. She received a Bachelor of Arts in behavioral science from Concordia University of Texas and a Master of Liberal Studies from Southern Methodist University. The groom lived in the Park Cities and was home-schooled through high school before pursuing his college studies at Texas Tech.

Plans for a honeymoon trip are still in the air as the couple settles into life as man and wife together in Devonshire.
