Highland Park Sweeps District 10-4A Meet

The Highland Park cross country teams both win District 10-4A titles on Tuesday morning at Frisco’s Warren Sports Complex.

Senior Natalie Rathjen also won an individual title to give her three district championships in her career. She dominated the field with a time of 17:36. Forney’s Caylon Miller was second with a 19:01.

The Lady Scots finished with 34 points, while Forney was a close second with 47.

The Running Scots were led by the Beitter brothers, Griffin (16:27) and Jack (16:31), who finished fourth and fifth, respectively. As a team, Highland Park had 36 points, while second-place Mesquite Poteet tallied 48.

Both teams will be at the Class 4A Region II Championships on Nov. 2 in Grand Prairie.
