Parsons House Solicits Food Donations
Parsons House Preston Hollow is hosting a food drive, and the Senior Source and Sharing Life Community Outreach will distribute donations to seniors in need. Non-perishable foods — such as canned fruits, mixed vegetables and legumes, jarred salsa, canned tuna, trail mix, peanut butter, brown rice, dry cereals, and evaporated milk — may be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. through Nov. 15 at Parsons House Preston Hollow, 4205 W. Northwest Highway.
“Without nutritional program support, seniors face the undue predicament of whether to eat, or pay their heating bill, or treat their grandchildren during the holiday season,” said Nicole Smith, executive director of Parsons House Preston Hollow.
