Scots Fall in State Lacrosse Semifinals

Highland Park’s lacrosse season ended on Saturday with an 8-5 loss to rival ESD in the semifinals of the Texas High School Lacrosse League state tournament in Friendswood.

It was the second loss for the Scots (14-6) to the Eagles (17-1) this season. It also marked the second straight year for HP to be eliminated in the state semifinals after falling to eventual champion St. Mark’s a year ago.

Meanwhile, ESD advances to meet its Preston Hollow private-school rival Jesuit in the championship game on Sunday. Jesuit beat The Woodlands 13-6 in the other semifinal.
