Dead Fish Spotted at Lakeside Park

This is just what you want to see on your morning walk. Not.

Our publisher, Pat Martin, sent us this photo this morning when she was walking her precious pup at Lakeside Park. Has anyone seen this before?

We’ve got lots of theories about runoff from the storm to someone cleaning out their bait bucket, but no real answers.

We’ll be contacting the town officials, but until we have a response, we’d love to hear your theories.

I have no idea what happened. But I did walk by there today and was overwhelmed by the smell. It is really awful. At first I thought the fish were flowers floating in the creek, but because of the smell I took a closer look. It is bad and there were tons of golfers out playing right by there at DCC.

The dog in the picture can’t believe it either.

So what is up with the Dallas Country Club being exempt from the HP watering restrictions? As I understand from HP Town Hall, the DCC has a permit from HP to draw water directly from Turtle Creek to water their country club golf grounds? Are you serious? Is this really true?

What about the drought in N. Texas?
