Preston Royal Library Hosts Holocaust Program

The Preston Royal Library Friends are hosting a program discussing some events and lessons from the Holocaust at 2 p.m. on Dec. 30 at the library. It’s free and open to the public.

The program entitled “An Upstander Lesson From the Holocaust: Rescuers and Resisters” will be presented by Dr. Charlotte Decoster, assistant director of education at the Dallas Holocaust Museum. The term “upstanders” refers to people who — at risk to themselves — acted as rescuers to help those persecuted by the Nazis during World War II.
