HP, UP Plan to Fog in Coming Days
Highland Park will be conducting ground-spraying for mosquitoes between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. on the west side of Preston Road (see quadrants A and B above) on May 15-17.
University Park will alternate fogging alleys and streets beginning at 11 p.m. from May 18-21. Here’s a breakdown of the schedule specifically:
May 18 — Alleys from Lovers Lane to Northwest Parkway
May 19 — Streets from Lovers Lane to Northwest Parkway
May 20 — Alleys from Lovers Lane to Mockingbird Lane
May 21 —Streets from Lovers Lane to Mockingbird Lane
City parks (Burleson, Caruth, Curtis, Germany, Goar, and Smith) plus City Hall will be sprayed starting at 11 p.m. on May 19 and 26.
As always, try to stay indoors and keep pets inside during the spraying/fogging. Clean out any pet bowls left out overnight. To help the municipalities stay mosquito-free, eliminate any standing water, clean out storm gutters, and cut back plant growth.
