Newspaper Delivery Man Robbed Near YMCA
A man was robbed at gunpoint while preparing to deliver newspapers near Town North YMCA on July 1.
The delivery man parked his vehicle at about 4:25 a.m. in the 4400 block of College Park Drive, organizing his deliveries, when he saw a blue Nissan Sentra pull up alongside him with its lights off. A gunman with a ski mask asked for cash, and reached into the victim’s pocket for a checkbook.
After stealing $125 in cash plus the checkbook, the robber and an accomplice fled eastbound on Northaven Road. There were no injuries, and police haven’t made any arrests.
