CARE Breakfast 2015

CARE (Chemical Awareness Resources & Education) held its 31st Annual Awareness Breakfast on Monday Oct. 5, 2015 at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. There were approximately 550 guests in attendance at the breakfast which featured 2015 NFL Hall of Fame inductee and former Dallas Cowboys player Charles Haley. Honorary Co-chairs Natalie and Mike McGuire, and Master of Ceremonies Scott Murray were in attendance, and together they helped raise $238,000 for CARE.

Prior to the breakfast, Haley hosted a “Huddle with Haley” with more than 100 local high school and college students. Students huddled around Haley as she shared his journey with bipolar disorder and drug abuse. He shared a message of inspiration and dedication reminding the student-atheletes,”No matter what you’re going through, where you live, you have to dream big.” Each team has the opportunity to be photographed with Haley after the program.

Scott Murray took the stage and interviewed Charles Haley, the only player in the NFL to have been on five Super Bowl winning teams, about his story and his struggle with bipolar disorder and drug abuse. Guests stayed after to say “hello” and take photos with Haley.
