Have You Seen the Bad Hair Bandit?

Dallas FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is searching for a bank robber they are calling the “Bad Hair Bandit” and wants your help finding him.

According to a news release on March 17, the robber is a black male, late 40s or early 50s, around 5’10” and around 200 pounds. The name “Bad Hair Bandit” comes from the black or gray wig he has worn during each robbery as a disguise.

This master of disguise has been responsible for the robberies of four local banks, including:

  • BBVA Compass Bank at Preston Forest Village
  • BB&T at The Market at Preston Forest
  • Bank of Texas next to Highland Park High School in the 6700 block of Preston Road
  • BBVA Compass Bank across the street from SMU in the 6500 block of Hillcrest Avenue.
