CBS News Anchor turned positive psychology researcher Michelle Gielan provided the keynote address at Ursuline Academy’s Annual Lunch With A View event on Sept. 9.

Gielan, author of Broadcasting Happiness, discussed the importance of positive engagement and investing in the success of others.

“While we may complain about the news — its negativity and story selection — in truth we are all broadcasters,” Gielan told the 400 guests at the Omni Dallas Hotel. “The things we choose to talk about during the day to our family, colleagues, and friends have a direct influence on their mood and how they respond to stress, change, and challenges.”

Dr. Robert Morgan was the master of ceremonies, and Ursuline senior Karen Garcia was the student speaker.

Lunch With A View supports need-based scholarships for the young women of Ursuline Academy.
