Highland Park began the second half of District 15-5A play this week, looking for a repeat of the first half.

After all, the Lady Scots (31-7, 8-0) can’t really do any better. They swept all 21 sets from their league opponents in the first go-around, ending with a win at Wylie East on Sept. 30.

Following an easy win at Royse City on Tuesday, HP travel to West Mesquite on Friday and will conclude its four-match road swing on Oct. 11 with a critical matchup against Lovejoy.

The defending Class 5A state champions gave the Lady Scots their biggest test on Sept. 16, and seems to have the best chance to derail HP’s dominance prior to the playoffs. After all, the Lady Leopards been otherwise perfect, as well.
