Highland Park lost its second consecutive close game on the road when McKinney surged to a 60-53 win over the Lady Scots on Monday.

Mary Margaret Roberts tallied a game-high 23 points for HP, while Morgan Smith had 13 and Eve Loewe contributed 12. But the Lady Scots (4-4) got just five points from the rest of the team combined. Roberts, Smith, and Loewe combined for all but six points of HP’s scoring output during a 58-56 defeat at Mansfield Legacy on Nov. 21.

The Lady Scots haven’t won away from home yet this season, but they’ll have more opportunities this weekend at the Curtis Culwell Invitational tournament in Garland. HP will face Garland Lakeview Centennial in the first round on Thursday.
