Despite another high-scoring game from Will Enzor, Highland Park saw its five-game winning streak snapped in an overtime loss to Forney on Tuesday.

The Scots (18-9, 7-3) led by double digits at halftime before the Jackrabbits rallied to claim a matchup of District 15-5A playoff contenders. Enzor tallied a game-high 29 points.

The defeat followed HP’s impressive 65-44 road win over Mesquite Poteet on Jan. 26. In that game, the Scots rolled to an early 17-4 lead and later pulled away in the third quarter. Enzor paced all scorers with 22 points, while Alex Staffaroni added 13 and Cade Wagner had 12.

HP is tied with Forney for second place in the district standings with four games to play. The Scots will travel to face 15-5A leader Royse City on Friday before hosting last-place Wylie East on Feb. 6.
