Jesuit started its postseason run with a flourish on Tuesday, easily dispatching Garland Lakeview Centennial 63-47 in a Class 6A Region II bi-district game.

Michael Jankovich scored 30 points to pace Jesuit, which won its sixth consecutive game overall. Keagan Nwosu added 10 points for the sharpshooting Rangers.

Jesuit (27-5), which finished second in District 9-6A during the regular season, will next face 12-6A co-champion The Woodlands College Park (21-12) in the area round on Friday, at a time and site to be determined. The Cavaliers topped North Mesquite on Tuesday.

The Rangers already have surpassed their win total from last season, when they advanced to the regional semifinals, and statistically are putting together one of the best campaigns in program history.
