Jesuit’s clash with Rockwall-Heath on Tuesday will feature two of the top perimeter shooting teams in the Dallas area, with a trip to the regional tournament in the balance.

The Class 6A Region II quarterfinal game is slated for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rowlett. It will be a rematch of a game from the Allen Holiday Invitational tournament on Dec. 28, which the Rangers won 84-71.

Jesuit has won seven straight games overall, including a 76-55 triumph over The Woodlands College Park in the area round on Friday in Waco. The Rangers (28-5) pulled away in the second half behind Marcus Hill and Max Abmas, who led the way with 21 points apiece.

The Hawks (25-10) have averaged more than 12 made 3-pointers per game this season. They have won each of their first two postseason games by 29-point margins, including a 63-34 thrashing of Coppell on Friday.

Jesuit will attempt to secure its second consecutive trip to the regional semifinals, which are slated for Friday at Ellis Davis Field House. Last year, the Rangers fell to Klein Forest in the fourth round.
