SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: STOP CALLING ME!

A few “annoying” phone calls were really putting a fork in a 60-year-old man’s plan for a relaxing evening at Mi Camino restaurant in the 3800 block of Northwest Highway – so much so that he ended up calling the police around 9:50 p.m. to put an end to it.

DALLAS

9 Monday

A wild animal was just out and about disturbing people, specifically a 68-year-old man,  around 9:40 a.m. In the 11800 block of Forest Lakes Lane.

Arrested at 8:08 p.m.: a 46-year-old woman suspected of shoplifting from Dilliard’s at NorthPark Center.

10 Tuesday

A vehicle parked overnight in the 4900 block of Thunder Road was burglarized sometime before 8:23 a.m.

The rear license plate was stolen from a car overnight before 9:08 a.m. while parked in the 5000 block of Forest Bend Road.

The rear glass door of a vacant home in the 11400 block of Strait Lane was kicked open and property from the home was stolen sometime overnight before 9:16 a.m.

Property from an open garage in the 6000 block of Lupton Drive was stolen around 10:40 a.m. Another home in the vicinity reported also reported that

11 Wednesday

A vehicle was stolen around 8:20 a.m. from the 6400 block of Royalton Drive.

Around 10:15 a.m., the rear glass door of a home in the 6400 block of Lavendale Avenue was smashed during a burglary.

A Clint Horticulture vehicle and enclosed trailer were burglarized around 3:50 p.m. while parked in the 9900 block of Rockbrook Drive.

A purse was stolen around 9:30 p.m. from a 75-year-old woman at Preston Royal.

12 Thursday

An apartment home in the 8600 block of Thackery Street was burglarized around 2:40 a.m.

Stolen before 7:47 a.m.: a vehicle parked overnight at an apartment complex in the 8600 block of Thackery Street.

Sometime before 7:50 a.m., property was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 8200 block of Preston Road after the windows were smashed out.

A vehicle was burglarized around 12:50 p.m. while parked in the 4900 block of Mill Run Road.

Copper downspouts were stolen sometime before 3:40 p.m. from a home in the 5400 block of Farquhar Lane.

Around 4:31 p.m., a vehicle parked in the 6600 block of Longfellow Drive was burglarized.

Arrested at 4:56 p.m.: a 35-year-old man suspected of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

A vehicle parked in the 6200 block of Glendora Avenue was burglarized around 7:13 p.m.

14 Saturday

Car keys were stolen around 7:30 a.m. from a 58-year-old woman in the 11800 block of Forest Lakes Lane.

A home in the 4500 block of Irvin Simmons Drive was burglarized around 9:05 a.m.

Property was stolen before 10:16 a.m. from a home in the 4600 block of Melissa Lane.

Arrested at 6:34 p.m.: a 63-year-old woman suspected of shoplifting from Victoria’s Secret at NorthPark Center.

A vehicle parked in the 4200 block of Merrell Road was burglarized around 9:10 p.m.

16 Monday

Two HVAC units were stolen before 8:50 a.m. from a New Leaf Custom Homes job site in the 6800 block of Stichter Avenue.

Property was stolen from a bed of a truck around 11 a.m. while parked in the 11200 block of Jamestown Road.

A criminal mischief complaint was reported around 11:15 p.m. from the Howard Crow Revocable Trust in the 4700 block of Park Lane.

Around 1 p.m., a vehicle parked in the 6300 block of Lafayette Way was burglarized.

Around 2:30 a.m., a wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked outside Celebration in the 4500 block of West Lovers Lane.

A 58-year-old man in the 4300 block of Bonham Street reported a minor injury around 3:45 p.m. after being bit by a dog.

Smashed around 5:30 p.m.: the passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the 6600 block of LBJ Freeway.

A vehicle parked in the 6000 block of Prestoncrest Lane was burglarized around 9:15 p.m.

17 Tuesday

The copper gutters were stolen around 8 p.m. from the porch of a home in the 5600 block of Boca Raton Drive.

18 Wednesday

Three vehicles in the 4200-4400 block of Merrell Road were burglarized. One was reported around 10 a.m. and the other two around 4:20 p.m.

Around 8:19 p.m., a 19-year-old man was grabbed and his property was damaged while in the 10400 block of Lennox Lane.

19 Thursday

Stolen before 4:53 a.m.: a range and oven from a Waterside Companies job site in the 5600 block of Greenbrier Drive.

A Tanner Homes property in the 4800 block of Anherst Avenue was burglarized around 8:30 a.m.

A package was stolen around 11:35 a.m. from the front porch of a home in the 4900 block of Forest Bend Road.

A 34-year-old woman in the 6600 block of Walnut Hill Lane reported to police around 1:15 p.m. that she was receiving unwanted texts and phone calls.

Around 3 p.m., property was stolen from Ray Ban at NorthPark Center.

Around 3:55 p.m., property was stolen from a Smoothie King in the 6000 block of Forest Lane.

A drunk “shopper” at Dilliard’s at NorthPark Center was issued by police a warning around 7:40 p.m.

Arrested at 9:05 p.m.: a 44-year-old woman suspected of driving while intoxicated in the 9300 block of North Dallas Tollway.

20 Friday

Around 5 a.m., a glass window in the 11400 block of Royalshire Drive was broken and the home was burglarized.

A 36-year-old man in the 5600 block of Northaven Road reported to police around 5:10 a.m. that he was receiving harassing phone calls and texts.

There was someone very suspicious in the 10700 block of Sandpiper Lane around 8 a.m., according to a 77-year-old woman who called the police.

Property belonging to FSG Electric was stolen before 8:50 a.m. in the 9900 block of Hillcrest Road.

A 29-year-old Fort Worth woman reported to police around 9:45 a.m. that her wallet had been stolen from her purse while at the Douglas Plaza office building in the 8200 block of Douglas Avenue.

Damaged before 10:25 a.m.: locks for two storage units inside a parking garage in the 8600 block of Thackery Street.

A vehicle parked at Inwood Village around 2:30 p.m. was damaged.

Arrested at 7:17 p.m.: a 30-year-old man suspected of shoplifting from Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center.

21 Saturday

Property was stolen around 11:50 a.m. from the AT&T store in the 5900 block of West Northwest Highway.

A 27-year-old Shady Shores man reported to police around 5:20 p.m. that his property was stolen while at Forestwood Center in the 5200 block of Forest Lane.

22 Sunday

Stolen around 7:20 p.m.:  A vehicle parked outside Taco Joint at Preston Center.
