Oliai Leads HP Girls at Marcus Invitational
The Highland Park girls had another strong showing on Saturday against an elite field at the Marcus Invitational in Denton.
Highland Park finished 10th among 32 teams in the elite varsity division of the Marcus Invitational cross country meet on Saturday at North Lakes Park in Denton.
Sophia Oliai paced the Lady Scots by finishing 26th individually with a time of 19 minutes, 10 seconds. The sophomore posted the second fastest time ever for any HP runner on that course. Maddy Stephens and Alli Grace Ott also placed in the top 100.
The Lady Scots will race at the McKinney Boyd Invitational on Saturday at Myers Park — the same location as the upcoming District 11-5A meet in October.
