Come shake, rattle, and roll at the 6th annual history with a twist: Sock hop, a 1950s-style cocktail party, benefiting Dallas Heritage Village
September 21 @ 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Dallas Heritage Village announces a new venue for its 6th Annual History with a Twist: the Artists’ Quarter at the historic South Side on Lamar, 1409 South Lamar Street. On Friday, September 21, 6:30-10:30 p.m., guests are invited to dress ‘50s chic, sip punch bowl cocktails, enjoy sock hop fare, soda shop sweets, and dance lessons to popular ‘50s tunes spun by DJ Jennifer Miller.
“With our new and historic indoor space and a fun ‘50s theme, this much anticipated annual event, an important fundraiser for Dallas Heritage Village, will provide another fun-filled blast from the past,” Melissa Prycer, president and executive director, Dallas Heritage Village. “The 1950s were a time of poodle skirts, “I Love Lucy,” Rock n’ Roll, James Bond novels, McDonald’s restaurants, Elvis Presley, Hula-Hoops, and the “Baby Boom.” Paying tribute to these American icons through cocktails, food, and fun will make this year’s Twist another memorable one!”
Honorary Chairs Mona and Bill Graue and Event Chair Trey Pugh invite the community to come enjoy a fun Friday night out that will go a long way to support important programming at Dallas Heritage Village. The event will also feature dance lessons, and a live and silent auction.
