Crime: Jan. 7 – Jan. 13

In a different type of hit-and-run, a 23-year-old victim’s car was vandalized by flying objects as he drove through the intersection of High School and Granada at 12:48 a.m. on January 7. The driver was uninjured, but no visual was made on the vandal – or vandals – that hurled the items as he passed by. The estimated damage on the vehicle was between $750 and $2,500.

Around 9 a.m., a Dallas man picking up several cups of coffee from the Highland Park Village Starbucks thought it would be okay to leave his car running and the door slightly ajar while making the stop. Turns out he was wrong.
