Formerly Homeless Cockatiel Has a Friend

Remember that little cockatiel that ended up in Williams Park? Animal lover and University Park city secretary Liz Spector ended up taking the dude home.

Before last night’s University Park City Council meeting,  I asked Spector how Joey the cockatiel was doing.

“Oh he’s great,” Spector said. I’m sure he’s better than great, considering he now has a little female friend named Gracie. How sweet!

    I saw a sign on a telephone pole around Byron and Lexington about someone’s missing, friendly Cockatiel. Ms. Spector might want to check it out, just in case.

    Our neighbors are missing their white cockatiel. Their signs are up in Uptown/HP/Katy Trail. The bird’s name is Vinnie and she’s quite friendly. Her owners are understandably disressed. If you spot her, please call Barb at 214-405-3990.

    There are signs all over the Katy Trail about a lost cockatiel. I just saw them this morning.

    Agree with the above. There are signs in the Knox-Henderson area regarding this lost bird. More specifically, there is a sign at the corner of Travis and Armstrong, south-east corner with a phone number.

    The signs say the bird is albino. Probably not the same bird. I’m not going to write the type of bird again because the asterisks this blog is putting in look ridiculous.

    I have had the cockatiel (yes, the asterisks are ridiculous) since last May. I followed a couple of leads back then for lost birds, but they weren’t him. Although I’m certain he’s not the missing albino bird, I do wish them luck in finding him! These little guys won’t survive too long out in the wild.
