No Chimichangas For You!

The best part of serving lunch at Highland Park Middle School is eating a free post-shift meal. But I didn’t get to enjoy that perk today. For the first time in my tenure as a volunteer, we ran out of hot entrees (chimichangas, specifically).

    I worked Thursdays for several years. Best food on Thursday especially the lite plate with the chicken enchiladas. Yum!

    i feel bad for the kids that have last period lunch when they do not get a hot lunch too

    Sally, the cafeteria staff made extra chimichangas for a handful of late-comers; I just didn’t want to ask them to make an extra one for me.
