They love their flags over at Highland Park Village. So today, Highland Park Mayor Bill Seay and Mayor Pro Tem Gail Madden presented an official town flag to one of the shopping center’s owners, Ray Washburne.

I just don’t understand why the flag isn’t blue background and gold lettering like it’s always been. It looks like a “surrender flag”, sorry, white flag just won’t fly!!!!!!!

This is the Town of Highland Park’s first flag. HP Department of Public Safety has a blue and gold flag. Highland Park is a great community, the colors used in the flag are meant to represent its values.
Blue-freedom,vigilance, perseverance, justice, prosperity, and/or patriotism.
    White- peace,purity,innocence

I don’t have a problem with the colors of the flag. But the font is very small and I would imagine it’s difficult to see from a distance.

Freakishly bad design. Breaks essentially every commonsense guideline of vexillological design except the rule of tincture.
