Scots Open Playoffs Tonight in Murphy

The undefeated Highland Park football team will open the Class 4A Division I state playoffs with a bi-district game against Frisco Liberty (6-4) at 7:30 tonight at Murphy’s Kimbrough Stadium.

The Scots wrapped up their second straight 10-0 regular season with a 52-15 win over McKinney last Friday night, while the Redhawks lost their second straight game, falling to Frisco, 23-20.

The winner of tonight’s contest will face the Woodrow Wilson-Molina winner next week in area. The Scots have advanced past the first two rounds of the playoffs each of the last six seasons.
