Busy Night For Lady Scots Athletics

One Highland Park girls team is starting its season tonight, while another is hoping to extend its season.

The Lady Scots volleyball team will square off with Frisco at 7 p.m. at Richardson High School in a Class 4A Region II quarterfinal match. Both Highland Park (38-6) and Frisco (29-9) have swept their first two playoff opponents. The winner will move on to face the Mansfield Lake Ridge-Waxahachie winner in the regional semifinals at 5 p.m. Friday at Richardson Berkner.

Meanwhile, the Lady Scots basketball team opens its season with a 7 p.m. home game against Woordow Wlison. Highland Park finished 25-8 last season and made it to the regional quarterfinals.
