Don’t Be Alarmed By Military Helicopter

I just found this on the University Park municipal website:

On Thursday, December 19 a military helicopter will land at UP Elementary School. The landing is part of a campus Toys for Tots effort. The helicopter is scheduled to land at 1 p.m. and depart within the hour.

I’m sure the Police Department will still field a few calls about an invasion.

I don’t know, but I’ll be in the neighborhood while it’s scheduled to be on the ground. I’ll try to snap a picture.

It actually wasnt a military helicopter, but the Marine Corp was involved through the toys for tots program. One of the students that goes to UP elementary has been donating her birthday presents to Toys for Tots for a number of years. A number of people got together to honor her in front of her classmates. The children (and Parents) really loved it. The students got to meet the Marines as well. It was a really nice event for a nice cause. The children were informed that the 700 toys they donated were going directly to Scottish Rite.
