After back-to-back home wins, Highland Park will make its annual trip this week to play in the Union Square Bulldog Classic tournament in Burkburnett.
The Scots (6-2) were the runner-up in the event last year after winning it in 2016. They will face Plainview, Lubbock Monterey, and Burkburnett in pool play on Thursday and Friday, and will play a fourth game to be determined on Saturday.
HP edged HSAA 68-63 in overtime on Monday, less than three weeks after defeating the same team 97-75 in the HP Scot Classic tournament. In the rematch, Will Enzor led the Scots with 20 points, followed by Preston Landes with 14 and Cade Wagner with 13.
HP will return home next week for two more nondistrict games, hosting St. Mark’s on Dec. 12 and Chicago Simeon on Dec. 15.
